The real problem was the dive guide. He spent way more time trying to be cool than trying to do his customer service based job. His information session was very short and uninformative. After his initial check in at the beginning of the boat ride, he barely said two words to us the rest of the trip. I pulled a bone head move and lost some weights out of my bc (rookie move) so I spent the the first dive struggling to stay down. I had to end my dive early since I used so much air struggling. I waited for the rest of the team to come back to the boat and we moved to our next dive site. I would have assumed he might check in with me to see if I was OK, or to see if he could help or how we could make the second dive better. He didn't say a word to me, even before we went in the water at the second site except that I owed them beers for somebody else getting the weights that fell out. I know he didn't say anything to my father who was diving with me either.

This was my second experience with Rainbow Reef. I was very impressed with them a couple of years ago when we did a dive with them. However, I was less than impressed with the customer service and professionalism.

Great people with really good knowledge of the sites. Dive guides were really friendly and I rented all the gear from them too which was in good condition. Did multiple doves including a night dive and they all.went off without any issues. Would definitely recommend them

Staff and experience was pretty much amazing all around. I'll point out Dougie the friendliest master diver I ever met, Jesus the best marine life spotter in the Keys, and Aqua, a lean mean diving machine who I would count on to rescue me from any aquatic incident. I spent about a week diving with this group with my family. We experienced many of the best dives of my life and one the most stressful night dives ever ( there were multiple water rescues and some ripping current that popped up but they got everyone back on the boat safe). Only small complaint is that they treat you like cattle in the fact that it can be rushed and cramped in between dives. If you're older (unlike me) you will feel rushed between dives as there is literally around 5 minutes between dives.

We ended up booking a trip for the next afternoon and got on a boat that was headed to a reef and a wreck. We were very excited to go out even though we knew there would be rough seas. The captain and crew were great which is the only reason I did t give the company a one star.

The Keys are back up and running!

I really don't ever take the time to write reviews, but I hope that this business takes notice of my experience and spends more time training their guides in customer service and how to represent their company better. I have had many different dive guides in different dive areas and this was the only negative experience that I have ever had.

Highly recommend.

Our first day was canceled due to weather, which is out of anyone's control. The woman we spoke to on the phone was pretty short with us when we were asking questions about rescheduling for the next day.

Dove with Rainbow this weekend as part of a group, dive dive dive from Georgia. The customer experience was 5 star. Crew, boat, equipment, organization. With very sporty conditions. My daughters completed their open water cert this trip.

Unbelievable staff!!!! I was fortunate to be able to meet and interact with Ari, Doug and Luis on my first diving trip in Key Largo. These three gentlemen stand out best in my memory but every staff member with Rainbow Reef that I met was helpful, professional, courteous and extremely enjoyable to be around. Was able to take the full face mask course with Luis and he was an excellent instructor talking about patientence...during my skills I sucked down at least 20 gallons of water in Jewels Lagoon at first try but he was right there to pop a regulator in my mouth! After being patient with me on several tries I go better and better at it and now its no problem...Thanks for the encouragement Luis. Got sea sick after having to go back to the boat one morning when I got an air leak. The first mate that morning was Doug a good ole country boy from my home state. He poored ice cold water down my back and I was good to go...well for a while anyway but he was right there to do it again when those feelings came back. Hopefully one day I'll have me sea legs so I won't get sick again. When you dive with them each time they give you a bracelet to wear good for later being able to spin a wheel for discounts on different items in their dive shop. Ari was there working in the shop just about everyday that I went in there. An easy going, laid back, extremely cool and down to earth staff member from up North who you'd swear was born and raised in the South because of his southern hospitality. I'm telling you people these guys were awesome and I look forward to seeing them again when I dive with Rainbow Reef around the first of the year. Thank you Rainbow Reef for an awesome experience!!! A little advice for the anyone who might get sea sick...Don't puke in the trash can on the boat and get back in the water asap!!!
