Cottages are true no frills old school keys charm. Walked right out to the water and enjoyed sunsets and stargazing and slept soundly in big comfy beds. Relaxed friendly property. Will be back!
we stayed in the blue beach house. plenty of room for 5 adults. rooms were clean, friendly staff and friendly guests.had a great time chatting with folks on the beach after sunset. complimentary breakfast was nice. beautiful views and kayaking. walked to the bayside grill next door...food was excellent!!! you wont find a nicer place at this price!!
Great place, location and staff. Very clean and family friendly. Free kayaks are a little beaten up and they only allow you out for 2 hours for free. What do you expect for free? I would recommend and stay here again.
I have been staying at The Pelican for over 20 years. I've come down at the same time every March, making my reservation for the following year BEFORE leaving. For the last 2 years, the new owner has refused to take my reservation, insisting that he may or may not have a room for me when I want it, saying he'll get back to me. He's has done this to other long time guests as well. I know he is preferring to reserve the place for large groups, and blowing off individual guests until he needs them to fill the balance of his rooms. Good luck to him- I'm moving on.
