I liked this place. Nice boat trip in sunny weather. Fun for families with children.
I love setting aside natural spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Cool place. :)
Crocs are really rare but I do see them occasionally using my boat. I've seen them around the nuclear power station pipe outlets on the other side of the bay more than here. I've only seen them about 5 times in about 60 trips so they are quite rare as well. I have seen a couple of crocs that would make Steve Irwin nervous. There's one about 14 feet long that I have run into repeatedly at the outlet pipes for the Turkey point nuclear power plant. This croc makes me feel really small in my 24 foot boat. Thank god they just slip beneath the waves and disappear every time. I rarely see kayakers here and have no idea how they would react to a kayak. Probably just go under but who knows.
Information signs were interesting...however the butterfly garden and info is quite a bonus
