Needs better customer service/friendliness. Maybe hire more kids cause the adults look like they hate there jobs. No offense but since when is it OK to roll your eyes at someone walking into the fitting room because you don't feel like putting there clothes back. And if your working the register don't get upset cause you have to take clothes off the hanger.
I believe one of the qualifications to working there is HORRIBLE attitude. I went here on two different occasions (2nd time not by choice) because it is the closest shopping center around and every employee there both times huffed and puffed the whole time. Very nasty customer service. This place needs more friendly staff most definitely
Horrible Horrible Horrible customer service I have lived in this town for 25 years and it never gets any better the garden shop is horrible I always buy plants in the summer and I have to end up going to Home Depot in Homestead because half of the plants they have outside are half dead or completely dead, I own a bunch of orchids and they never have any supplies that I need for orchids, but recently they came out with a plan of plants for life and I thought it was a wonderful idea for the plants that don't make it through the summer and you can replace them I just went to the store today and the manager was oblivious she never heard of that plan was acting like it doesn't exist then when I explained it to her she said oh yeah we don't do that anymore just to prove her wrong I purchased a couple of plants and the receipt printed out the disclaimer of plans for life showed it to them and they said oh okay I guess we do well anyway you don't have a receipt so you can't do nothing. But I do know for a fact that in the past they can look it up with my credit card. I wish that a real store will come and buy over the store and get rid of it 25 years of lame Kmart in Key Largo it's really annoying.
I love Kmart, I just think they need to clean this employee team up.. At least start drug testing.. well, that might not work cause they would all likely fail...
Ask someone at the section with te light bulbs to help me locate a light bulb he was much nicer and did help me look but no suggestion to maybe try ordering online or even looking if it's an item the store actually carries. No real help there either. The only employee who was friendly and treated me with a smile was the cashier whom I'm pretty sure is either management or supervisor.
Kmart seriously needs new employees working there. Every time I go everyone is miserable or has a really bad attitude! Get it together! Your more expensive than Walmart and just for the convenience I'll pay more to not have to drive mainland. But at this point I'd rather order of amazon! Replace Kmart with Target and the Keys will not only have gained a reputable quality store but good competitive prices and happy employees.Tired of this Kmart and lack there of actual good retail customer service! Hope you loose business!

I think this place must run special ads to find the worst possible employees on the planet. No joke, the employees get bussed in from the worst neighborhoods of neighboring city of homestead!! Then they handle our CC and customer service?? No hellos, no thank you's; only stares from the employee! Customer service reps will say she needs to check the computer in the back AND LEAVE TO SMOKE OUTSIDE!!!!!!!! While everyone waits!! Cashiers will leave the register and decide to walk over to the other register and gossip while we wait for her to come back when she's done.
Walk into Kmart and see a hand full of employees at the service counter talking. Go to jewelry and no one is there, walk to the make up isle and see and employee and ask if I can get help in the jewelry counter. I was instructed to walk back to the front of the store and ask for help there. Walk to the counter and see 2 employees talking and as they see me approach they make eye contact one walks away the other pretends she's doing something under the counter and ignores me. I wait for her to say something like "can I help you" and she's like "yes" I ask can I get help at the jewelry counter?" She gets annoyed like I bothered her to do her job! No smile just attitude she than tells the girl who was talking to her to help me at the counter. I walk away and she comes to the counter I ask her if she can or has the tools to open a watch so I can figure out the battery to purchase (i needed 4 different batteries) with attitude she says we don't do that. Okay well thanks for your help lady! Grab my stuff and walk away.
Lastly the people working there honestly look like the people you lock your doors around when you see them walking in public!!! It resembles more like Kmart hires active prisoners as employees!! The cashiers look like they belong on a chain gang!!
