STAY AWAY! This company is rude and charged me an additional $258 on my rental, over and above my total $395 charge. This was the worst experience in my life. I have rented from Uhaul forever and never been treated like this. The staff is rude, told me even though I had fueled the truck, it was not full enough, charged me $40 extra for not bringing it back full plus $30 additional. Then, since Budget did not give her papers to check condition of vehicle from original location, she then charged me an additional day on everything because it took two hours for her to get the paper from origination. I had to call original location and give them correct fax to send papers to her as she even gave them the wrong fax. And, had the gall to ask me if I was moving to the area with a snarl.
DONT TAKE 12 PASSENGER VAN...CALL BUDGET WHILE STANDING THERE! I reserved a compact car , yet when I arrived I was told that a compact was NOT available. I also was offered a 12 passenger van for free or upgrade for $10 to a Hyundai Elantra.

Both the older gentleman ahead of me and I were told the same thing. Due to my concerns of bumper to bumper traffic and further delays, I agreed...When I should have called BUDGET while I was standing there. Because I agreed, I'm stuck with the charges. Always call Budget ...Don't take 12 passenger van
I would normally rate a 3 but in this case they called to reconfirm my car for the pick up date then told me they didn't have the size car I had rented (full size) and would have to give me something smaller without even offering to adjust the rate. I showed up and ended up in a Jeep Compass... a little difficult to get into with my large frame, but not a huge deal. It was raining outside so no big deal that it wasn't washed and there was visible dirt on the outside. Inside there was sand on the carpet and floor mats so it wasn't vacuumed either, there wasn't a whole lot so it wasn't a huge deal. Otherwise the car was fine. With the couple of minor issues I can't really give it a 3. I have had much better luck with Thrifty down the road a fairly short distance in Tavernier
My husband and I reserved a Class A (compact) car online in order to make the rental process easier and to make sure a vehicle was available. When we arrived, the only person working could not figure out how to process the woman ahead of us credit card. We waited for about half an hour while she called multiple people to help her. When it was our turn, we were told that a Class A car was not available and that we had two choices. We could take a 12 passenger van at no additional charge or upgrade to a Class B for $5 (the woman ahead of us was given this option also). The scam is that they expect you to say no to the van because it is completely unreasonable so that you will just pay them the $5. Instead of arguing with the woman working there, I told my husband we could just call Budget directly and have them cancel the charge. I did call Budget and the representative, Patricia, told me that we should not be charged for the Class B and the van should have never been offered. This location probably does this to all of their customers hoping everyone will pay the extra $5. Don't waste your time going here.
DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!! I needed a vehicle to return to Miami Airport the following morning. The worker Jessica was rude and doesn't no what customer service means! I made an 2different online reservation 4pm one with avis & one with budget yet was told she would not honor either cuz they were not made 24hrs in advance and the only car she could give me would be over $100. I had already called customer service and reported her rude behavior and they stated she was to honor the online price if it was a reservation and they had the vehicle which she stated they did through budget. This was not making sense...it seemed they were taking advantage of a tourist in a tight spot! Needless to say when I tried to go back inside I had been locked out with a note on the door stating "washing cars" I went and asked her for the boss' info and even after speaking to another higher up person the issue STILL didn't get resolved! They allowed hr to treat and speak to a customer like crap and also lock her out! They didn't honor an online reservation even though corporate said they were suppose to and as if it wasn't enough I was locked out once and then she closed 10minutes early just so I was screwed. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NO LONGER BE OPEN!!!
